RECOVERY SUMMARY GOES-19 transmitted nothing for 18 h 27 min. Three downstream services published new products covering that window while it was silent. When the onboard recording was finally downlinked, the products matched it to six decimal places. The products carry two.
EXTRACTED DATA GOES-19, operating as GOES-East, entered safe mode following an anomaly on 2026-07-15 at approximately 21:00 UTC. NOAA's Office of Satellite and Product Operations issued an outage notice the same evening. Nominal operations resumed 2026-07-16 at approximately 16:30 UTC. Duration of the transmission gap: 18 h 27 min. The event occurred during the Atlantic hurricane season, and forecast operations fell back to the standby spacecraft for the interval.
Instrument data acquired during safe mode is not transmitted in real time. It is written to onboard storage and downlinked after recovery. For the 2026-07-15 window the recorded set was downlinked on 2026-07-17 and reprocessed into Level-2 products on 2026-07-19.
Brandt Reanalysis Services, a commercial reanalysis provider, published sea-surface temperature composites for the window at 03:12 UTC on 2026-07-16 — nine hours before the spacecraft resumed transmission. Product lineage field cites GOES-East ABI channel 13. Ingest logs for the interval record 0 bytes received from that source.
Coastwise Routing BV published two cyclone-avoidance advisories for the same window, timestamped 04:40 and 11:05 UTC on 2026-07-16. Both cite GOES-East imagery as primary input. The company's data-broker invoice for July records no GOES-East delivery on either date.
Renner Insurance Analytics ran a scheduled catastrophe-exposure update at 06:00 UTC on 2026-07-16 against a GOES-East derived convection mask. The mask file exists. Its creation timestamp precedes the downlink of the source data by 41 hours.
The three products were compared against the reprocessed Level-2 set after 2026-07-19. Brandt's composite differs from the reprocessed field by a mean absolute error of 0.0007931 K. Coastwise's advisory tracks differ by 0.0007931 degrees of arc. Renner's mask differs by 0.0007931 in normalised index units.
Product formats for all three carry two decimal places. The agreement is stated here at six because the comparison was run against the stored floating-point arrays, not the published rounding. At two decimals the three products and the reprocessed set are identical.
The three organisations share no vendor, no cloud region, and no personnel. Brandt runs on-premises hardware. Coastwise is a single-tenant deployment in Frankfurt. Renner processes in a Virginia region under a separate contract.
Cached-product reuse was examined and excluded: all three files carry new content hashes and cover a window for which no prior product existed. Interpolation from the standby spacecraft was examined and excluded: standby geometry does not resolve the eastern sector at the precision reported, and the residual under that hypothesis is 0.19, not 0.0007931.
The reprocessed set contains a convective feature over the western Atlantic that developed and dissipated entirely within the transmission gap. Duration: 3 h 41 min. The feature does not appear in standby-spacecraft imagery at usable resolution.
It appears in all three of the earlier products. Brandt renders it as a temperature depression of 4.7 K. Coastwise routes two vessel tracks around it. Renner's mask encloses it with a boundary that follows the reprocessed contour to within 1.2 km.
Publication order was checked against independent time sources. All three providers' timestamps are NTP-disciplined and consistent with third-party observers: Brandt's composite is logged by its CDN at 03:12 UTC, and the CDN operator's records are held separately from the provider.
Calibration was verified. The result is confirmed. The result remains unavailable under current instrument models: the products describe measurements that had not been transmitted at the time of publication, and the source cannot lie in the past light cone of the publication.
Requests for the ingest records were filed with all three providers. Two returned complete logs. The third returned a complete log in which the interval 2026-07-15 21:00 UTC to 2026-07-16 16:30 UTC is present, correctly formatted, and contains no rows.
INTEGRITY NOTES Extraction depth for this fragment: 3.4 against a permitted maximum of 3.0. Escalation was not authorised and is recorded here for review. At current calibration the timestamp ordering is internally consistent and externally impossible. Both statements are retained. Harvester note: I have re-run the comparison four times. The residual does not move. [Anomaly recorded at the report formatting stage]
